The Tahoe got a redesign for 2025, with a new look that incorporates new advanced exterior lighting. The available diesel engine also got a bump in power, up to 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. But everything that has made the Tahoe so massively popular is still here, from the body-on-frame construction to the standard V8 engine.

The Tahoe is designed to handle a surprisingly large cross-section of uses, from school runs to hauling four-wheelers way out into the wilderness. The Tahoe comes with a standard V8, a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 that produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you're looking for more power, there is an available 6.2-liter V8 that puts out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. And if you're looking to do a lot of towing, and want to maximize torque, there is the available New Duramax® turbodiesel 3.0-liter I6, which produces 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines are incredibly capable and versatile, whether you're towing, offroading, or highway cruising on a long road trip. For a bit more offroad prowess, check out the Z71 trim, which comes with equipment like 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires, aluminum skid plates and recovery hooks, and an Autotrac two-speed active transfer case.

The Tahoe has been so popular for so long because it's so impressively capable, but Chevrolet has found ways to use technology to add to the proven capability that has been a trademark of the Tahoe since its introduction. Even for day-to-day tasks, things like standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay make listening to music and making hands-free phone calls a breeze. Available Magnetic Ride Controlâ„¢ and the available four-corner adaptive air suspension deliver an incredibly smooth ride, which pairs nicely with the comfortable interior. Tech to help you tow is of course available too, including advanced features such as a Trailer Tire Health monitor, and a Trailer Navigation mode, which factors in the size of your trailer and clearance when calculating your route. The Tahoe also has available Super Cruise, a hands-free form of cruise control that lets you sit back and relax, so you can arrive at your destination refreshed.
