What the Critics Say
"Chevy engineers say they took strides to make their battery-powered truck drive like the gas one. But that didn't come across in our drive and the electric Silverado is better for it. The EV's unibody structure and four-corner independent suspension tame the busy ride of an unloaded, nose-heavy body-on-frame truck. Armed with air springs and adaptive dampers and helped by near-even weight distribution, the electric Silverado handles with the carlike competence of a crossover." - MotorTrend
"Yes, the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV is a good electric pickup truck. It boasts a relaxed ride and eager acceleration, and it's available in configurations that range from basic to plush. It also travels farther on a full charge than most electric vehicles." - U.S. News & World Report
What's New for 2025
Improved range, performance, and new trim levels highlight the changes surrounding the bold Chevrolet Silverado EV for the 2025 model year. Maximum range has been upped to an estimated 492 miles while maximum towing and payload capacity ratings see a similar increase. Also new this year is a Standard Range battery option along with a new mid-level LT trim.
Chevrolet Silverado EV Features

All-Electric Power
Proof that going electric doesn't mean compromising capability or power, the Chevrolet Silverado EV defies conventional thinking about what a full-size truck can be. In addition to producing zero emissions, the Silverado EV is available with three distinct powertrains producing 510 HP and 580 lb-ft of torque (WT models), 665 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque (LT models), or 645 HP and 785 lb-ft of torque (RST models with Wide Open Watts Mode). Its e4WD system delivers superior control on and off the road while the cutting-edge Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension allows the truck to be raised or lowered up to 2 inches. Boosting maneuverability at low speeds and stability at high speeds, the groundbreaking four-wheel steer capability of the Silverado EV is particularly useful in a full-size truck application. Its EV powertrain helps create the usable front trunk, further boosting the cargo-carrying abilities of this innovative truck. RST trim levels also come standard with the Chevrolet Advanced Trailering System, adding confidence and peace of mind when towing heavy equipment with your Silverado EV.

Charging Solutions
Easily adaptable to your lifestyle, the Chevrolet Silverado EV is designed with a full suite of charging capabilities to help get you where you need to be. At home, drivers can use a standard 120-volt household outlet (Level 1 charging) or a dedicated 240-volt outlet (Level 2 charging) to restore a GM-estimated range of up to 492 miles on a full charge. When you're out and about, there's also its DC Fast Charging capabilities that allow you to restore 100 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes (twice as fast as the competition). The myChevrolet Mobile App with Energy Assist helps you plan your trip and locate over 43,000 available public charging stations at the touch of a button. In combination with the optional accessory power bar, the PowerBase charging system offers up to 10 outlets, to provide a total of 10.2kW of all-electric power for job site or recreational needs. In times of need, the Silverado EV can even charge another EV using its available power via an accessory cable.

Innovative Technology
Offering a truly immersive experience filled with connectivity and intuitive operation, the tech-focused interior of the Chevrolet Silverado EV has something for everyone. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a free-floating 17-inch touchscreen display featuring integrated Google services for seamless access to your favorite multimedia content. A clever hands-free start system automatically starts your truck once you enter for added convenience. With a field of over 14 inches, an available head-up display projects key information right within your field of vision. Developed in-house at GM, the Linux-based software system of the Silverado EV allows for continuous improvement including over-the-air updates. The future of hands-free driving has arrived with Super Cruise, now trailer-capable and compatible with over 200,000 miles of compatible roads across the U.S. and Canada. The Silverado EV also comes with standard Chevy Safety Assist, a collection of six advanced safety and driver assistance features designed to help provide additional confidence every time you get in your truck.
