New and Improved Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Get ready to saddle up with the all-new Chevy Silverado 1500. The new 2027 model brings a new engine lineup, exterior styling enhancements, a revamped interior design with larger infotainment screens, and a remix to the trim lineup. Holding out for a new 2027 Silverado 1500 is definitely a good decision, and we'll tell you why.
The Engine Lineup: More Powerful Options
The beloved EcoTec3 V8 will always have a place in the heart of Silverado lovers, but this year, there's something new under the hood. The 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter EcoTec3 engines swap places with 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8s. That's more horsepower, torque, and an increase in your towing capacity across the board. The TurboMax™ and 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 engines round out the four options for your 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500. Transmission-wise, we switch from the previous 8- and 10-speed options to a 10-speed automatic across the entire lineup.
New Additions
- 5.7-liter V8 with 402 horsepower
- 6.6-liter V8 with 481 horsepower
- 10-Speed automatic transmission
- 13,700-pound towing capacity (up from 13,300)
The Interior Tech: Large and in Charge
When you open your door, one of the first things you'll notice is the tech-heavy cabin. This year, the infotainment system and instrument cluster are fully digital. Not only that, but you'll have a standard 16.3-inch center touchscreen and a 12.2-inch instrument cluster, whereas last year, the largest screen availalbe was the 13.4 inch model. No more squinting at the screen while you track your route through Paterson, NJ. The 11.5-inch passenger screen (available on higher trim levels) features privacy glass so your front passenger can stream their favorite shows without distracting you while you drive. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are also standard for every Silverado 1500 near West Caldwell.
New Additions
- 16.3-inch center touchscreen standard across all trims
- 12.2-inch infotainment cluster standard across all trims
- Fully digital infotainment system
Interior Design: Stretch Out and Enjoy the Ride
One word to describe it all? Better than before. Ok, maybe that's three words, but who's counting? You'll have a lower instrument panel to improve your forward visibility, while back seat passengers have an easier time finding their sweet spot with reimagined seat ergonomics. Also new to the 2027 model year is a panoramic sunroof. That's bringing more light and life into your cabin on sunny days in Hawthorne or on a relaxing ride home in Wayne, NJ, as you enjoy the pitter-patter of raindrops. If you need to make room for your laptop while you're parked, the new Multi-Flex center console folds completely flat to create your workspace on the go.
New Additions
- Available Panoramic Sunroof
- Refined back seat ergonomics
- Lower-positioned instrument panel
- Multi-flex center console
Safety Improvements: More Awareness on the Road
Super Cruise, which previously belonged to the High Country, is now available for the High Country and the ZR2. Standard safety features also expand to include intersection automatic braking, side cyclist detection, and reverse automatic braking.
Exterior Design: When You Look Better, You Feel Better
When you see a 2027 Silverado 1500 in Paramus from the outside, you'll notice a few differences from the previous model year. The new body shell includes U-shaped LED lights with animation packages, a more intimidating front grille, and larger fenders. This year's model is also about an inch longer, while off-road trims bump ground clearance up to 12.4 inches from last year's 11.2 inches. Speaking of the off-road models, the ZR2 features 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires, vs. the 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler MT tires on the 2026.
New Additions
- 12.4-inch ground clearance (ZR2/TrailBoss)
- U-Shaped LED lights
- New body design
- Signature light animations
