Having trouble reading the size numbers on your tire? Don't be. Here is a quick look at how you can easily read the size of your tire.

At the beginning of the tire code, you will see three numbers. This is the width of the vehicle expressed in millimeters. The next number reveals the aspect ratio of the tire. Let's say the aspect ratio is 45. That tells you the tire's height is 45% of the width of the tire. The tire's width is expressed in inches. So, if you see a tire size reading of P225/55R17. Then that means the tire is 225 millimeters wide with an aspect ratio of 55 and a height of 17 inches.
